Punto Galle was an important base for the Dutch East Indies Company (VOC).

Copper engraving, published in Amsterdam in 1676 by Jacob Meurs in "Oost-Indische Voyagie: Containing important incidents and bloody sea and land battles against the Portuguese and Makassares (...)", Wouter Schouten.

Good condition. Sharp, dark print. Some light age browning and small repairs in the margins. Not affecting the image. Very beautifully hand-coloured.
