A contemporary hand-colored copy of Willem Blaeu's famous map depicting a part of Brabant, featuring Brussels in the bottom left, Antwerp in the top left, and Mechelen and Aarschot in the center. Beautifully decorated with three cartouches; the title cartouche and coats of arms are located in the upper right corner. Published in Amsterdam in 1635 as part of a French-language edition of the *Atlas Novus*.
Condition ranges from good to very good, with some slight age-related toning and minor spotting. There are a few minimal repairs in the margins; otherwise, it is in excellent condition. A highly decorative example of this remarkable map.
