A highly decorative map centered on Seville and Cordoba. The map is adorned with ships, compass roses, and an ornate cartouche showing the Pillars of Hercules (representing Gibraltar and Ceuta as entrance point to the Atlantic Ocean from the Mediterranean Sea). The map is very detailed and includes many place names, towns, and smaller settlements. The map provides many details, such as the names of cities and towns, castles and monasteries, rivers, lakes, forests, and mountains.
