This impressive antique map of Overijssel and surrounding parts of Gelderland, Friesland, Drenthe, and Germany dates from 1690; it was created by Nicolaes Visscher and published in Amsterdam. It features a magnificent title cartouche displaying the coat of arms of Overijssel, along with figures of a fisherman, a shepherd, and a peat cutter. In the bottom right corner is a cartouche containing a legend (*Verklaringe der Teeckenen*).

This edition (without text on the verso) was published exclusively in a composite atlas by Abraham Wolfgang, issued in Amsterdam around 1690.
