Beautiful map of the Greek island of Crete, by F.J.J. von Reilly, published in 1789 in ´Schauplatz der Fünf Theile der Welt nach und zu Anton Friedrich Büschings grosser Erdbeschreibung´.

There are many place names and nice topographical detail across the island. Near the center of the island, das Labirint (the labyrinth) is identified. Several smaller islands are shown to the north. The map also features a decorative title cartouche and five distance scales.

Excellent condition. Very strong print on thick and clean paper with ample margins. Never folded. Beautiful original colors. Reverse side blank.
