Copper engraved interesting map illustrating an aborted attempt by the British to capture Cadiz during the War of Spanish Succession (1700-1714), with ships on the coast and a very nice title cartouche, with index.
Made by Basire, for ´Mr Tindal’s continuation of Mr Rapin’s History of England´, 1745.
Good-very good condition. Some minor repairs, not affecting the image. Right margin extended with antique paper. Folds as published. Otherwise excellent.
