A decorative and rare detailed copper engraved map of the Southeast of Europe, focussing on the lower part of the Danube river between Belgrade and the Black Sea. It shows (parts of) modern day Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, the European part of Turkey (including Istanbul), Greece, Serbia, Hungary.... Made by N. Visscher and published in Amsterdam around 1690 (the victory by the Venetians was in 1688). Large folio format.
Excellent condition. Thick paper, clear print, wide margins. Central fold, as published.
