The famous Blaeu edition of the Mercator map of Bohemia, largely coinciding with modern day Czech Republic, with the city of Prague more or less in the center of the map.

Includes decorative cartouche, coats of arms, etc. French text on verso.

The cartographer of this map was Gerard Mercator in the late 16th century, Blaeu was one of the successors using his work, adding his own signature.

This edition was published in the first French edition of "Atlas Novus," the atlas by William Blaeu, Amsterdam, 1635.

Very good condition. Some small repairs and reinforcement on the back in the central fold, with minimal impact on the image. Thick paper, clear print and wide margins. Reverse side text in French
