Lovely map of the Savoy region of Eastern France with delightful title cartouche with coat of arms and putti.
It shows the French Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region between Lake Geneva and Val di Susa in northern Italy, Chamonix in the centre and reaching west as far as Grenoble, Chambery and Annecy.
Published in 1635 by W. Blaeu in Amsterdam in the first French edition of´Le Theatre du monde...´. Signed by W. Blaeu in the bottom right corner.
Good condition. Some light even age browning. The central fold is repaired and reinforced on the back, with minimal impact on the image. Otherwise excellent. Clear print. Very wide margins. Nice hand coloring. Reverse side text in French.
