Lovely and very detailed map of the Languedoc region in south France with delightful banner title, coat of arms and mile stick. The map identifies important towns, fortifications, rivers, vineyards and villages throughout with beautifully rendered mountains and forests. In the top left, under the title cartouche, the coat of arms of the French king. Signed by W. Blaeu below that.

Published in 1635 in Amsterdam in ´Le Theatre du monde...´.

Good condition. Some light age browning. Small repair on the back of the lower part of the central fold and small repair in the right margin, not affecting the image. Some old annotation in the right margin. Otherwise excellent. Clear print. Wide margins. Nice hand coloring. Reverse side text in French.
