A beautiful, very finely engraved early 18th-century map of Java, Bali and surrounding islands, based on the account of early Dutch voyages first published in 1608 by Commelin. The title is written in the cartouche in the left bottom corner.
Published in Constantin Renneville's ´Recueil des voyages qui ont servi a l'etablissement et aux progres de la Compagnie des Indes Orientales, ... tome 2´, first published in 1703.
Very good condition. Folds as published. Right margin extended with antique paper.
