Large folio size copper engraving with a city map of Haarlem in a bird's-eye view with the buildings shown on elevation. The city depicted behind the fortifications.

Title on top, with the city coat of arms and the coat of arms of Holland on both sides. Bottom left a legend in a box, numbered 1-69.

This map was first published by J. Blaeu in 1649. This edition was published by Frederik de Wit, in his City Atlas: 'Perfecte Aftekeningen der steden van de XVII Nederlandsche provincies in plattegronden', Amsterdam 1698. Signed at the bottom left.

Excellent good condition. Folds as published.
