Very interesting and unusual 18th century copper engraved map by Antonio Zatta of the southern part of Portugal. The map notes cities, towns, rivers, reliefs and islands. A decorative landscape-style title cartouche completes the map.

The map was engraved in 1775 and was published by Antonio Zatta in his 1779 edition of Atlante Novissimo.

The maps of Venetian publisher Antonio Zatta are noteworthy for their fine craftsmanship and high aesthetics. He was probably the most important Italian map publisher of the late eighteenth century and is responsible for a large number of atlases and single maps of considerable aesthetic and scientific merit.

Excellent condition, original coloring, never folded, wide margins.
