A beautiful, large copper engraving depicting a view of Hendrick de Keyser's stock exchange on Rokin in Amsterdam. This was the first merchant exchange in Amsterdam and the precursor to the current Dutch stock exchange. Its founding took place in the early 17th century.

In the foreground and beneath the colonnade are the merchants.

Published in Amsterdam in 1693 in 'Beschryvinge van Amsterdam, (...)' by C. Commelin.

Title in the banderole at the top. First edition of this print.

Very good condition. A small reinforcementes in the lower margin, far outside the image. Central fold as published.
