Greece, Kos & Rhodes, C. de Bruyn, 1698, Stanchio / Rhodus

Large 17th century double copper engraving with two views. On top a view of the city/island of Kos (here named Stanchio).

Below the city Rhodes on the island of Rhodes. On the foreground Turkish (Ottoman) ships, the islands were a part of the Ottoman empire at the time.

The engraving was made by C. de Bruyn for his book ´Reizen van Cornelis de Bruyn door de vermaardste deelen van Klein Asia…´, 1698, Delft.

Very good condition, some minimal age browning in the margins. Thick paper with clear print.
