An excellent early, beautifully colored, map of the Indonesian island of Bali, printed in the highest quality on thick paper. The north on the map is at the bottom.
Jacques Nicolas Bellin was the most important French hydrographer of the 18th century. He published his beautiful maps in several important works like the Sea-atlas 'Hydrographique Français' (1756-65) and the atlas to accompany Prévost d' Exile's ' Histoire. des Voyages', (1738-75).
Very good condition. Folds as issued. Strong paper with watermark.
