Very beautiful 17th century copper engraved city map, with the houses shown in elevation, of Venlo. With the Maas at the bottom and the coats of arms of Venlo and Gelre in the upper corners. Right at the top is the view of the city from the other bank of the Maas.
Published by Jacob van Biesen in Arnhem. Gelderland cartographer Nicolaas Geelkercken was responsible for the maps and special city maps with profile views. His city maps were later used by Joan Blaeu and Johannes Janssonius for their City Books.
